Before we kept bees we kept dogs. More indolent than industrious these would never produce honey but made our lives sweeter nonetheless with their companionship. Yesterday our Fratzi Jean, sixteen-year-old tuffet crumb terrier, last of her pack, passed away to join her adoptive brother Levi Alexander and partner-in-crime Luvvy Moriarty. She is survived by two grieving beekeepers.
